Frequently Asked Questions
Most businesses face the same issues and have the same questions and concerns...here are some common ones.
I am happy with my current IT Company, but they aren’t as
responsive as they once were.
I’m not 100% sure if my system(s) is adequate or needs
attention until something breaks.
It seems like I am always stuck making quick
decisions and paying an unexpected invoice that is never in the
budget.
I wish I had a true IT Partner and not the
typical reactive IT company.
It’s 8:00am and I can’t print reports needed for a 9:00am staff meeting. I’ve rebooted my machine and the printer but what next?
Simple answer. Contact our Helpdesk (724.302.0060). We are there for you. Our Helpdesk is staffed 8:00am – 6:00pm M-F and on-call 7x24x365. Infrastructure Services
How do I keep my computers and information safe?
Security is always a concern for anyone with important information and there is no one catch-all solution. A layered approach provides the best chance of successfully protecting your sensitive information. A combination of firewalls, security updates and patches, strong password policy, encryption, antivirus and antispyware are the foundation for a well rounded security program. We will perform periodic security audits along with developing a security plan, implementing that plan, and monitoring it for effectiveness. A good security plan allows you to focus on your business, not worry about any others that may be “focusing” on your business. Infrastructure Services
What happens if a critical piece of equipment malfunctions?
As
with any electronic equipment, failures can and will occur so it is
important to be prepared. We will work with you to evaluate your
situation and identify critical points of failure. We then will
develop and implement a backup plan for these critical points and
most importantly to test this plan routinely. All of this gives you
peace of mind knowing that when a failure occurs, you will have an
action plan in place to resolve the situation quickly and with
minimal disruption to your operation.

What is the difference of a 2.6Ghz processor and a 3.0Ghz
processor?
That is correct – what’s the difference. Weekly ads, Radio Shack, CompUSA and some who occupy our market place would like you to believe otherwise. Bigger is not always better if you are concerned with value. In most cases, to most businesses, the biggest difference in this scenario is a $300-$400 price tag. You can very quickly do the math. With a smooth running, well designed system, and an honest Business Partner, you will have the ability to draw on years of industry experience with the end result saving you money. Our company is successful and growing but I cannot
understand why we have to enter the same data multiple times into
several different applications.
There has to be a better way.
The good news is that there is a better way. All businesses need to be efficient in order to stay competitive and to be successful. We will help you identify areas of your business where you can streamline your internal processes through the use of technology. This can be as complex as integrating your main business applications so that you only have to enter data once or as simple as sharing a printer instead of buying another one. Bottom line is that you do have options. We will help you realize and align these options with the goals of your business. Business Consulting
I’m busy with my day to day work, I don’t have time to babysit m network.
It is less expensive and disruptive to recognize a problem and resolve it before it becomes critical. We will handle your system as if it is our own and monitor your critical resources to make sure they are running as they should. If not, we will begin the resolution process and notify you that the issue is being address and our exact plan for resolution. As part of this service, we will provide and review with you periodic reports on the health of your infrastructure and trends in your environment for future planning. We also manage your security software (anti-virus, Patches, etc), your business software for license compliancy, and other aspects of your network to give you peace of mind. Managed IT Services
